Build Your Own Raspberry Pi Powered Telescope

Telescopes are great, and while you can get a decent one for a relatively cheap price, making your own is always more fun. If you don’t mind putting in a little effort, Make will walk you through creating your own 3D printed case.

Their guide is based on PiKon, and you’ll find most of the official instructions on Dropbox . Once you 3D print all the parts somewhere and find the PVC pipe, you just need to assemble everything, align the mirrors, then set up the Raspberry Pi and camera. In the end, you will have a telescope with which you can easily take photos and upload them wherever you go. Go to Make for an overview and parts list.
