Elevate Your Strawberry Smoothie With Aperol
Made with fresh berries and creamy ice cream, this strawberry milkshake is a unique summer treat. I didn’t think the frozen mix could be improved until Lucky Peach suggested adding aperol.
The recipe combines a pint of strawberries, a pint of ice cream, a cup of aperol, and two tablespoons of saba syrup (sweet fruit juice made from grape must). Even without the syrup, I love the idea of adding some bitter herbal liqueur to a sweet and vibrant strawberry smoothie. Actually, I could go ahead and try it with Campari, because with Campari almost all drinks are better.
