Make a Food Slicer With a Plastic Syringe
If you like diced hot dogs in macaroni and cheese, or want to quickly slice vegetable strips for a snack, you can make a quick cut tool with a plastic syringe.
In this video from YouTube channel Shake the Future, you will learn how to take a cheap syringe and turn it into a super-useful kitchen tool. Cut off the tip of the syringe nozzle and sand until smooth, then drill several holes at equal intervals around the same end. Thread the wire through the holes to form a wire mesh at the end of the syringe tube. Now stick in a hot dog, a piece of cheese or some vegetables and push the plunger. With a little effort, you can slice up your food in no time.
