Google Flights and Hotels Are Updating to Make It Even Easier to Get the Best Prices
Google Flights are already great for finding and tracking flight prices . However, they just updated the tool to make it even more useful: it will now tell you when to book in order to get the best deal.
When you look at a specific flight, the Flights app will tell you when and if prices for that flight might go up. A small notification screen will pop up and tell you how much more expensive your ticket will be if you book later – useful if you’re trying to get the best deal .
Google Flights have always provided “tips”, which are basically just notifications telling you how to save money by flying another day or to a different airport. The new tip will also tell you if this route has experienced price spikes in the past.
In short, Flights now offer a little more information on when is the best time to book. Of course, you can still track these airfare prices.
Google has also made some changes to its search for hotels. When you browse accommodation, Google will now show you what the historical prices look like by date and hotel, so you can see if the rate is normal or if it is likely to be reduced in the future. There is also a new ‘Offers’ filter where you can search for discounted cities. Google can also notify you when there are savings for loyal members of a particular hotel.
