Accessories That Make You Want to Use Your Water Bottle

There is a human behavior researcher somewhere who can explain why I surrounded myself with water bottles for so long and still remained dehydrated. I had several good reasons for this, which I will go into, but whatever the reason was, I was determined to fix it. Luckily for me, the solutions were just a few clicks away. Now, a month after starting the dehydration experiment, I can report success – and I want the same for you.

When you need ice cold water

For me, any water tastes better when cold. City water, bottled water – all water. Of course, I could put my full bottles of water in the refrigerator, but the person who does this is prudent , and I am a simple girl who looks sadly at the faucet, wishing the water would go below 45 degrees. Pushing ice cubes into my water bottle was too difficult and annoying. So I was looking for ice cubes that would easily fit in my water bottle and was delighted to find these extra long ice cube trays that are enough for daytime hydration.

I prefer silicone ice cube trays; the only problem is that, due to their flexibility, they are difficult to place in the freezer unless they are on the shelf. This tray solves that problem – it has a silicone mold in a hard plastic tray. It even comes with a lid which is handy for preventing anything from getting into the ice or the ice soaking up odors from the freezer. Put a few bars in a bottle and fill it up: they freeze water almost instantly.

Make your water bottle really clean

I wash my water bottles often, but my dishwasher tends to melt them, so that means washing by hand. I never believed I got them truly clean; Most brushes have a flat top, so I just scratched the bottom of the bottle with the wire part of the brush. It was also impossible to balance upside down to dry completely and drain all the water.

So I have a set of brushes specifically designed for water bottles , with bristles at the top so you can legally clean the bottom of the bottle, and it has a ring-type brush that reaches just behind the neck.

Then I bought a dryer that perfectly holds my bottles upside down for draining. The best part is that I can throw the brush into the dishwasher to clean it and the dryer tucks away in a tiny area when I don’t need it.

Keep water close at hand with the carry strap

I have enough problems with dehydration at home – I honestly don’t know how I don’t crumble to dust when I leave the house. My water bottle almost never leaves the car because it means holding onto it, and I love having my hands free. So I found a carry strap for it, and now I have no excuse for dehydration.

As we hit the peak of summer in record breaking season, I really can’t stress enough how important it is to make sure you’re getting enough water. Your body reminds you of migraines and fatigue. It is important to drink water regularly, and these remedies can help.
