7 Best Summer Jobs for Teenagers

From the age of thirteen until going to college, I went through many different jobs. I have worked as a Little League referee, waiter, grocery store cashier, summer camp counselor, lawn mower, and focus group participant. The pay for these jobs varied greatly, as did the emotional and physical toll they suffered. While I think it’s important for teens to work for both the responsibility it requires and the taste of financial independence, some jobs are just better for teens than others.

You want to keep your teenager safe from stressful situations. You want your teen to work within a reasonable amount of time. Ideally, you even want your teen to be outside and moving around. Here are the top seven jobs for teens who are joining the workforce for the first time.
