Use Your JetCash Balance Before Walmart Redeems It

Walmart yesterday announced the closure of the Jet.com e-commerce website . While this news might not come as a surprise to those who have followed the site’s development over the past year or so, there is one important factor for Jet fans to think about: the use of JetCash.

JetCash is a reward program created by Jet to encourage people to shop at other online stores. Once you visit the Jet Anywhere portal, you can click links to various e-commerce stores to complete a purchase on those websites. Once you do this, you will receive JetCash Credit to use on Jet.com .

The company closed the Jet Anywhere portal in 2017 and noted in the terms of the program that JetCash will only be valid until May 2018. But if you are a regular Jet shopper, you may have noticed that you can still see the JetCash balance in your account. … And now would be a great time to use it.

A Walmart spokesman said via email that the parent company does not have an exact date to shut down Jet.com. But they said that JetCash customers can use their balances until September 4, 2020.

If you are planning to shop – with JetCash or regular dollars – be sure to pay attention to the return policy for the items you are considering: the site’s policies may change over the next few months when it ceases to exist.

Walmart acquired Jet.com, which was once considered Amazon’s main competitor, in 2016. But as Walmart.com has gained traction over the past few years, Jet.com has struggled to gain the same popularity. In June 2019, its employees were transferred to Walmart, and in February 2020, Jetblack’s personal shopping service closed.
