Megabus Give Out 200,000 Free Cyber Monday Tickets
If you’ve been thinking about taking the bus next year, Megabus might give you a free ticket.
On Cyber Monday, the buses will hand out 200,000 free tickets tomorrow. Megabus routes include West Coast trips between Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vegas, Oakland and San Jose, as well as East Coast trips connecting New York, Boston, DC, and Philadelphia.
To get one of the free tickets, you just need to find it. Megabus will be sending out free offers on its site starting at 6am PT on Monday.
Free one way tickets, so you will need to pay to get home or find a free return ticket. There is no limit to how many free tickets one person can pick up, so you can grab as many as you can find.
Free tickets are in some ways equivalent to basic airline savings, so if you want to do things like seat selection, you have to pay a little. The cost of a seat usually ranges from $ 2 to $ 10 per ticket.
While free tickets are definitely great, it’s worth noting that Megabus tickets are traditionally not that expensive to start with. For example, today I was able to find a ticket from San Jose, California to Anaheim next week, an 8 hour journey, for $ 14.99. Add $ 2 for the assigned seat and you can still make the trip for less than $ 20.
