This Site Uses Artificial Intelligence to Find Privacy Policy Issues

Every time you sign up for a new app or service, you probably also agree to the new privacy policy. You know, this incredibly long block of text that you quickly scroll through without reading?

Guard is a site that uses AI to read epic lengthy privacy policies and then highlight any aspects of them that might be problematic.

After he reads the privacy policy of a site or application, he rates the service based on that policy, and also makes recommendations on whether you should use it. It also contains news on any scandals involving the company and information on any security threats.

Twitter, for example, is rated D. The Guard recommends avoiding this app. The biggest threat? The company’s privacy policy says that it may sell or transfer your information.

For now, you’re limited to viewing the ratings of only those services that Guard has decided to analyze, including most of the major apps like youTube, Reddit, Spotify, and Instagram. However, if you are interested in the rating of a particular application, you can submit it to the service and ask to do so.

As the list of supported services grows, it can become an even more reliable resource for learning what you use on your phone or computer and understanding how your data is used.
