Best Intermittent Fasting Apps

Intermittent fasting is not magic, but it works well as a weight loss aid for people who manage to stick to it. If that’s you, consider using one of these fasting trackers to remind you of start and end times and keep track of how well you have adhered to your plan in the past.

All fasting apps are glorified timers. You tell them when you start fasting and they will count down the hours until you can eat again. When you are at the feeding window, they tell you how much time is left. Plus, they can be as fancy or as simple as you like.

Best of All: Zero

Zero (free for iOS) is a favorite of many recurring posts. It has a simple start screen where you can choose a preset fasting type (16 hours fasting, 8 hours food – popular) or set your own. The app keeps track of where you are in the current window and can send you a notification when it ends. There’s a dashboard to keep track of your average fasting duration, whether you’ve maintained a multi-day streak, and a place to see your weight trend over time (if you’re connected to the Health app). The design is simple and the application is easy to use. This is for iOS only ( fix: it doesn’t! We missed the Android list for some reason ! We’d still like to point out that Vora is an equally popular Android app).

Simpler applications: Fastient, FastHabit

If you don’t have to plan your fasting ahead of time, Fastient is a great, simple app that lets you start fasting, set a goal if desired, and add notes on how you’re feeling.

FastHabit is even easier: without the need to create an account, you get a timer for your current post and a log of your previous posts. You need to upgrade to the $ 2.99 version to receive daily post reminders.
