Roll up Your Sleeves If You’re Hot but Not Too Tight

While a professional politician might give up cosplaying as a hardworking American citizen, we ordinary people, Joe, may not be quite as skilled when it comes to rolling up those long-sleeved shirts, especially when it’s hot outside. You can lean towards steeper rolls, but that won’t help if you’re trying to stay calm.

Albert Vallejo , associate professor at the University of Southern California, says that exposing your forearms to air cools the blood in your forearms, lowers your overall body temperature, and sends signals to your brain to make you feel cooler. But rolling up the sleeves too tight will have the opposite effect. “It will be more difficult for the blood to pass through it,” Vallejo told Mel .

As a fan of rolled up Oxford shirts and the usual Barack Obama look, I find this news detrimental to my aesthetic. Fashion is a pain and I love my sleeves in a certain medieval style.
