How to Stop LinkedIn App Notifications on Windows 10

Ever since Microsoft acquired LinkedIn , I look forward to the day’s notifications to add someone I’ve never met to my professional network, popping up on my screen. It turns out that day has arrived and LinkedIn is announcing its Windows 10 app that comes with notifications for any professional nonsense you don’t care about. Luckily, you can change which apps need your attention in the Windows 10 Action Center.

If you are one of the daredevils choosing the LinkedIn app , you are probably more attached to your career than anyone. But those who update comments on blog posts and requests for friendship are actually detrimental to getting the job done . Distractions like notifications distract you from important tasks, and it takes a lot longer to recover from interruptions than you think.

On the Windows 10 desktop, click Start, then Settings (the gear in the lower-left corner of the taskbar). From there, tap System> Notifications & Actions to change which notifications you see. You can switch banners and notification sounds, add or remove notifications from your PC’s lock screen, or turn off all notifications so you don’t get distracted.

Nerds might want to take it one step further by getting rid of the Support Center entirely. It requires a little registry editing, which you shouldn’t if you’re not good with Windows, but if you have the courage to try it, give it a try.
