Two Alternatives to Grilled Cheese for People Who Can’t Eat Bread or Cheese

If you’re avoiding bread or cheese, you might think the days of melting, stretchy, fried cheeses are over, but don’t be sure. We have two options – one for people who cannot eat bread and one for people who cannot eat every cheese – and each of them is delicious.

For Those Who Can’t Eat Cheese: Vegan Ciao Slices from Field Roast

The problem with most non-dairy cheese substitutes is that they melt strangely. Luckily, these Field Roast Chao Slices melt like a wacky dream – almost as good as their kraft counterparts, and they don’t taste too far off American.

I can quite eat cheese without any problem (I know, check my cheeses), but I started buying them to make cheese-free fried sandwiches for myself and my lactose intolerant male friend. Served with a bowl of tomato soup, these dairy-free treats are virtually indistinguishable from a sandwich made with American slices.

For those who cannot eat bread: bread cheese

I don’t remember which ingenious commentator suggested bread cheese in this very extensive sandwich line , but those of you who don’t eat bread should thank them. If anything, bread cheese allows you to make the cleanest iteration of grilled cheese ever. This salty cheese, made to be fried directly in the pan, is free of fatty acid and will create a crispy crust on its own.

Once cooked, you can dip the melted chunk of dairy into the soup, drizzle with honey (and sprinkle with pistachios!), Or simply eat it all separately.

This is also not a bad cold. It’s a little creaky, but I don’t mind creaky cheese. You can also reheat it in the microwave for a quick snack if you don’t feel like frying it in a pan. There are many varieties of bread and cheese and they are all very good.
