Will It Be Sous Vide? Let’s Pick a Different Theme!
Welcome back my shiny kids for another exciting session ofWill It Sous Vide? , a weekly column where I do whatever you want with my immersion circulator.
I would just like to start by saying that I was very worried pleased topic last week, not because it was the best sous vide food when – or, rather, because it was a topic, let a lot of sous vide cooking to learn, and satisfied with our curiosity – that’s what this column is about.
Now it’s time for you to take over again. Here are some ideas to get you started:
- Breakfast casseroles or frittata: Since this is a custard, I think they would work great in jars.
- Pecan Pie: I’d like to see if it can handle the booze better than pumpkin, as I still have leftovers of infused rye .
- Thanksgiving Parties: Spoiler alert – I’ll definitely be filming a whole turkey next month, but it might be fun to do a few things ahead of time to see if it’s possible to shoot the entire Thanksgiving dinner. After all, we already have the pie.
Okay, get down to business and feel free to let me know if I’ve forgotten about any of the shiny, aforementioned topics. I get a lot of emails about this column and it can be difficult to keep track of all of your great suggestions.
