Rest of the Day: Apple Fixes IPhone 7 Connection Issues in Latest IOS Update
Some of those who used iPhone 7s before faced connectivity issues as soon as they rolled out their shiny new phones, but today Apple is taking steps to fix the annoying bug with a small software update.
- IOS 10.0.3, released today, addresses this issue. Only a few carriers were affected, namely Verizon, while others had no problems keeping their cellular connection at all. (T-Mobile had a very similar but different issue that wasalready being addressed. ) The software update is only available for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. [Ars Technica]
- Facebook just tweaked its 360-degree photos a bit to make them a little more usable. Now you can choose an “initial” view so that the first thing people see is not superfluous. It’s still new – you can rotate your phone to view 360 degrees – but it’s fun new. [The Next Web]
- Facebook is testing a new feature that will suggest Messenger conversation topics based on your friends’ recent activities. It makes sense, but at the same time a little creepy (although we voluntarily provide Facebook with all the information about our activity). But I also feel like I won’t necessarily exchange messages with someone if I need an app that tells us what to talk about. Sorry friends. [TechCrunch]
- Razer has acquired THX , an audio and video quality company best known for its iconic “deep note” sound effect that predates THX-certified films. Take a moment to enjoy it below. [TechCrunch]
