How to Completely Disable Widgets on the IOS 10 Lock Screen

iOS 10 contains a lot of new features, but the lock screen is the biggest change . Along with this comes a new widget screen that could potentially compromise your privacy. Here’s how to turn it off completely.

Go to Settings> Touch ID & Password, then uncheck the View Today and View Notifications boxes. This will ensure that nothing happens when you swipe to the right of the lock screen. You can also always edit which apps appear in this widget area if you only have a few privacy concerns, but if you want to make it go away forever, this is the best way to do it.

While you’re there, you might also consider turning off Reply with Message if you don’t like the idea that strangers could potentially reply to any pop-up messages.
