Family Work and Play Space

Redditor musaffa1 wanted a place where the whole family could spend time together, and a family that plays and works together is a family that stays together. He came up with this workspace for the whole family and it looks great.

Musaffa1 explains:

On the left are 3 personalized PCs for me and my boys and a Dell gaming laptop for my wife. Countertops and legs were purchased from Ikea. I think I spent about $ 125 in total. This is our main family meeting. Used for homework, arts and crafts, Overwatch, and sometimes for dinner. Our knight, Sir Ulrich von Lichtenstein, is watching us (ignore the projector. It’s part of my home theater behind me, but it’s a different subreddit …)

Here’s a snapshot of the entire setup:

And here’s an enlarged view of the frame from the top of the article:

And here’s another shot in the opposite direction, from where his wife set up her laptop and plugged it into an external device:

But what about his specific workplace? Well, it has the far right side. He plans to build a PC in the near future, so don’t expect any eye-popping specs, he notes along with this snapshot:

My station. Nothing fancy, but it works; AMD 8-core, 256GB SSD, 16GB and still my trusty 7970 Ghost. I will build a new one soon

All in all, the big reason I really like this is because they all play Overwatch together (seriously, go to the imgur gallery to see how everyone plays at the same time), and secondly, this is the workspace that everyone can use all together. at the same time, regardless of whether they are doing the same thing, or several people are working, and someone else is playing, or something else. This is a great way for everyone not to feel like they have to give up their hobbies in order to spend time together.

If you have your own workspace to show off, share it with us by adding it to our Lifehacker Workspace Show and Tell Flickr pool . Make sure all photos you add are at least 1280×720 in size. Maintaining their 16: 9 aspect ratio also helps! Include a little text about what you used, how you came up with the design, and any other important details. If your smart organization and good design flair are striking, you could be the next workplace ambassador!
