Use Your Raspberry Pi to Keep Track of Who Is at Home or in the Office

Do you work in an office or have a home where you don’t see everyone? Initially, they used a Raspberry Pi Zero to track when someone is connected to a local Wi-Fi network, so it’s easy to see who’s around and who’s not.

The Raspberry Pi Zero mainly scans for MAC addresses so you can easily see who is connected to the Wi-Fi network at any given point. This data is then displayed in the control panel, and you can even configure it to receive text messages when someone comes. It’s a fairly simple system to set up, where the main headache is figuring out which device belongs to whom, but at the very least, it can give you a little warning when the boss returns from lunch. Flip to original state for a complete guide.
