Pixelmator for Mac Adds New Selection Tools and Retouching Enhancements for Photos
Pixelmator’s new update, 3.5 Canyon, includes quick selection and magnetic selection tools, and touch-up enhancements for the Mac Photos app.
The new Quick Select tool is designed to make it easier to select complex objects in your image. Using a new algorithm called Smart Edge Detection, the Quick Select tool lets you select and select an object with just a few brush strokes. The Magnetic Selection tool also makes it easier to track objects by finding the edges of an object for you and automatically selecting a selection around them. In addition to the new advanced selection tools, Canyon’s major update 3.5 also includes the Pixelmator Retouch Extension for the Photos app, which includes the popular Pixelmator Repair Tool. The extension allows you to retouch your favorite photos with the tools you like, while keeping them organized in your photos.
