This web application is especially useful for people who do have some flexibility in their schedule. You simply enter your starting point and destination into the app and then tell it to notify you when the route drops below whatever amount of time you want. It will tell you what is the average and current congestion time on the route.
However, this is only accessible through your browser, so you must be at your computer to receive the warning. It would be even more useful as a mobile app, and the founders are currently developing it. However, it still works well if you’re on your computer. For example, if you’re at work and trying to figure out the best time to get out at the end of the day, the app will send you a pop-up telling you that your route is within your timeslot.
