LendEDU Financial Aid Hotline Will Answer Your Student Loan Questions Via Text Message
It’s hard to find answers to specific questions about financial aid when you don’t know where to start. LendEDU has a free financial aid hotline offering simple yet personalized answers that will point you in the right direction.
In a press release, they announced:
This new tool will be available to everyone starting today. Just send a text with questions about financial assistance to the hotline (302) 278-4037, and you will receive a detailed answer from our staff within 15 minutes. Outside business hours, you can get a detailed reply within 24 hours. The LendEDU Financial Assistance Hotline will be maintained by the LendEDU team. At least one representative will be on the system at all times during business hours.
Hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern European Standard Time. I tried it out of office hours and got a response within five minutes. Their answers are incredibly simplistic, so you should only use them as a starting point.
Keep in mind that the company is also promoting student loan refinancing and consolidation, which can be a good step to save money, but it is not a step to be taken lightly. For example, if you refinance your federal student loans into private ones, you will lose your federal loan exemptions, so you will have to weigh your options.
