Cook Chicken Stock in 30 Minutes Using a Pressure Cooker

The pressure cooker is an amazing device that can be used on many occasions , but making a hearty soup and savory broth in minutes is something we didn’t initially expect. Luckily, this video from Bon Appetit shows you exactly how to do it, and in less than half an hour to download.

The video tells a story, but to put it simply, put some onions, carrots, ginger, garlic, herbs, peppers and, of course, chicken in the pressure cooker (the video uses chicken wings). Cover with water and cook at high pressure for 30 minutes. Strain the coarse one, give it a second strain to catch anything smaller, and you’re done. You can even finish off the chicken or chop it up to use in a soup that uses broth or another dish (just don’t throw it away!)

Simple and easy – and fast enough, you can even do it when you’re not feeling well, and you can use some hot broth to calm your stomach. Plus, chicken broth is a savory and flavorful base for a myriad of recipes, from stews to better steamed rice, so you can always eat it as a last resort. In addition, homemade food is always better than canned food, so it’s time to learn how to cook yourself.
