Store Eye Cream in the Refrigerator to Refresh Eyes and Soothe Puffy Eyes

An eye cream can help moisturize your skin and get rid of wrinkles, but it can also reduce puffiness in your eyes if kept cool.

For most lotions and cosmetics, a cool, dry place is more than acceptable. Eye cream, however, can be helpful if stored in your refrigerator. According to Dr. Susan Smith Jones, president of Health Unlimited, refrigerated eye creams can help relieve puffiness in the eyes and improve blood circulation in the skin. Susan Ruffy, a cosmetic chemist, agrees and notes that chilled creams have a pleasant sensory or cooling effect that is ideal for tired, puffy eyes. So put the eye cream in the refrigerator. It may not last longer, but the skin around the eyes will look fresher.
