Deceptively Simple Workspace

Redditor mrrej89 posted this beautiful workspace sabreddite Battlestations. At first glance, it’s simple, a little boring, but then you look at the details – from lamp to keyboard, monitor stand and bookshelf, it’s simple, but well done and well built.

The Imgur gallery has tons of snapshots of the entire space (link below), but in a thread (also link below) he explains where most of the equipment on his desk comes from. The leather upholstery he added to the table matches the wood beautifully (he says he did it so he doesn’t need a rug) and he rocks a pair of headphones that are one of my personal favorites , the AKG K553 Pro . Here’s another shot of a workplace with shelving on it:

Even the monitor stand, the $ 54 SIlverstone aluminum one-piece stand, is carefully thought out for the place. The mouse is obviously from Steelseries, but the keyboard is another thing I can vouch for, the Cooler Master NovaTouch TKL that I have used and loved (mechanical but nice and quiet thanks to the customizable mute around the switches). It even has custom keycaps .

And an even wider shot that he shared further down the line, showcasing the true beauty of these bookshelves:

Also, if you like art in his workspace, you can grab a printout and support the artist, Hidden Moves, on his website here . Overall, this is a really edgy look. Deceptively minimalist and simple, but every detail and detail is thought out and thought out, so they match perfectly – and perfectly fit mrrej89. If you have your own workspace to show off, share it with us by adding it to our Lifehacker Workspace Show and Tell Flickr pool . Make sure all photos you add are at least 1280×720 in size. Maintaining their 16: 9 aspect ratio also helps! Include a little text about what you used, how you came up with the design, and any other important details. If your smart organization and good design flair are striking, you could be the next workplace ambassador!
