Build a Motion Sensing Security Camera With Raspberry Pi and Windows IoT

Turning a Raspberry Pi into a motion-sensing security camera is a classic Pi project , but Microsoft changed the classic a bit by showing how to build a camera using Windows IoT.

Windows IoT is a free version of Windows built for single board computers . As you might expect, it works very differently than the Linux-based Raspbian operating system that most of us use on the Raspberry Pi. Subsequently, the process of setting up the software is very simple here, and creating this little security system is surprisingly simple. You just need a Windows PC, a PIR motion sensor, Raspberry Pi 2, and a USB camera. If you are anxious to learn what Windows IoT is, this is a good starter project for that.
