Visiting National Parks is a great way to get out in nature and explore our beautiful natural spaces, and the National Park Service offers many days of free admission for holidays and other events. Here’s a list so you can plan your trip right now.

Most days are in the spring and fall, so you might want to fit in with this visit when the parks are just starting to bloom or when the leaves are changing. Here are the free days this year:

  • January 18: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • April 16-24: National Parks Week
  • 25-28 August: Birthday of the National Park Service.
  • September 24: National Day of State Lands.
  • November 11: Veterans Day
