Most days are in the spring and fall, so you might want to fit in with this visit when the parks are just starting to bloom or when the leaves are changing. Here are the free days this year:
- January 18: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- April 16-24: National Parks Week
- 25-28 August: Birthday of the National Park Service.
- September 24: National Day of State Lands.
- November 11: Veterans Day
