Opera Max Reduces the Quality of Netflix and YouTube to Preserve Your Data

Android: From time to time I find myself in a world without Wi-Fi, I’m bored and want to watch Netflix on my phone, but I don’t want to go beyond the data limit. Opera Max helps solve this problem.

Opera Max has been around for a while now , helping you compress web pages, images and (some) videos to save data on your device. The problem was that until now it was unable to compress videos from safe streams like Netflix and YouTube.

Just download Opera Max and turn it on to start compressing your data. You can choose which apps to compress, completely prevent apps from using the data, and choose different quality settings. This is a godsend as Netflix (shockingly) doesn’t even have quality settings in its own app.

Sure, your video won’t look that good, but if you’re nearing the data limit for a month, at least you can still while away the time with Bob’s Burgers.
