Atom, the Official GitHub Editor, Releases the First Stable Version 1.0
Windows / Mac / Linux: Atom, a free GitHub text editor , has been working on beta builds for some time now. It is officially available as a stable release today.
Atom is still open source and cross-platform, but now comes with a pretty solid feature set and improved stability. The appeal of Atom lies in its modularity, which is a fancy way of saying that you can customize the editor in every way to suit your needs. As you would expect from a stable launch of an open source project, the list of updates is quite long, but big improvements include pan resizing and multi-folder projects.
