Plant Your Garden With What You Will Eat, Not Just What Is Easy

Get the most out of your garden by choosing the plants you actually eat instead of the ones you think you should have. When planting a garden, it is natural to think of the plants that are easiest to grow , but you will really like the ones you want to grow and harvest.

Start by thinking about your favorite foods, then narrow down your choices. Think about ingredients from those dishes that suit your climate and soil conditions. For example, I love pasta dishes (with vegetables, butter and fresh herbs or sauce), mixed cocktails, and stir-fries. Based on this, I would use my garden space for basil, tomatoes, and courgettes, which are versatile enough for just about anything.

Thinking more about your garden can help you enjoy fresh ingredients, spend less on groceries, and use more plants to prepare your meals.
