Eclipse Desktop

Reader Pushkar put together this austere yet open and clean desktop in just a few minutes with a couple of easily customizable components. Here’s how he did it.

Pushkar introduced this desktop to our desktop showcase and this is what you should do if you want your desktop to be displayed here! It uses Windows, which isn’t entirely obvious since it doesn’t have taskbars, system trays, or other intuitive menus. Everything is tucked away neatly until he needs it. If you want your Windows PC to look the same, here’s what you’ll need:

That’s all there is to it, and you can see where each skin and theme is used in the finished product. If you have questions or want to know more about how Pushkar did all this, check out his blog Kinja (link below) to ask your questions. Let him know how much we love his work when you do!

Do you have a beautiful and functional desktop to show off? Share with us! Post it to your personal Kinja blog using the Desktop Showcase tag or add it to our Lifehacker Desktop Show and Tell Flickr pool . Screenshots must be at least 640×360 in size and include information about what you used, links to wallpapers, skins and themes, and any other important information. If your wonderful desktop catches our attention, you may be on our favorites!
