Make a Coffee Shop-Style Matcha Green Latte at Home

For those of you who enjoy coffee drinks, you may already know that it’s surprisingly easy to make your own latte (even the ubiquitous pumpkin spice latte this year ). And if you are more into tea, then making green tea latte will be incredibly easy too.

Yahoo! The one-minute Food video demonstrates how easy it is to make a coffee shop-style matcha green tea latte in your own kitchen. All you need is matcha (Japanese green tea leaf powder), boiling water, milk of your choice, and honey if you like lightly sweetened tea drinks.

You will also need several tools: a sieve to keep the matcha powder from clumping; chasen or Japanese bamboo tea whisk; and a metal whisk for whipping warm milk. The milk frother is also suitable for warm milk and can replace chasen. However, do not try to replace the Cesen with a metal whisk; it will not mix the match thoroughly.

Now you know: These quirky matcha lattes are actually easier to make at home than ordering from Starbucks.
