When I read about other dishwasher-safe dishes, my thoughts were probably the same as yours: why use an empty, clean dishwasher to cook something when my oven is better suited for the task? What I love about this tip is the sealed Mason jars. You can cook vegetables while you cook your normal load. I think it would be a good idea to add some vegetables for cooking while I cook the evening load of dishes so that I can make a quick salad of vegetables or pasta for lunch the next day.
