How to Maintain Your Sex Drive After a Long Day at Work

It’s hard to get excited about sex after sitting in a chair, staring at a screen, and chatting with stressed coworkers all day. No one likes to admit that work is ruining their libido, but perhaps you’ve reached a point where something needs to be changed. Here are seven steps you can take to maintain – and even increase – your sex drive throughout your workday.

Move your body

A healthy sex drive requires a sense of connection with your body. Get up and take a quick walk around the office a couple of times a day to improve circulation. See if you can feel your sensuality as you move. Try to really feel your feet touching the ground. Or give your hips an extra twitch with each step.

Dive into the bathroom or private office and do a few warm-ups. You may be able to identify one particular stretch or movement of your body that will help you feel connected to your masculinity or femininity. Try wiggling your pelvis back and forth or swinging your shoulders.

You can also try putting your hands on your body (no breasts or genitals please!), Either when you are at your desk or when you are in a private office. You can touch your skin, massage muscles, or simply place your hand on different parts of your body. Just lay your hands on yourself – it’s a reminder that you have a body at all!

Wear good underwear

Nothing beats everyday sadness like knowing that you are wearing hot underwear under buttoned office clothes. Men, throw away your old tattered and tattered boxers and buy soft cloth boxers. Women can play with matching bra and lingerie sets, garters or lace stockings.

Do some Kegel

Your PC muscles wrap around your pelvis like a hammock. To find them, go to the toilet and start urinating. Try to stop urinating before your bladder is empty. To do this, you need to engage your PC muscles.

You can practice short, fast impulses and long retentions (not while urinating, just at your desk). No one can tell you that you are doing them, so you can do them while you work or during meetings. Some people find this experience exciting in itself. As we mentioned earlier, PC exercises (also called Kegel exercises) have the added benefit of creating stronger orgasms and better orgasm control for both men and women.

Give your mind a rest

Stress kills your libido faster than anything else. Try not to get too nervous during the day. I know this is easier said than done, but the simple act of admitting that your stress levels are ruining your sex life may just be the motivation you need to start looking for ways to relax.

Try to give yourself a few mental breaks throughout the day. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Imagine each inhalation directing your breath to your genitals. Try to focus on only one task at a time. Or try hourly mindfulness checks .

Create anticipation

If you have an intimate evening at home, think a little about sex at work. Visualize some of your favorite sexual memories or fantasies. One of the great things about fantasizing is that no one else knows you are doing it when you are doing it. Sure, you don’t want to get into situations that require awkward conversations with your HR employee, but it’s okay to spend a few minutes on your own personal thoughts.

Some people are afraid to think about sexual thoughts at work because they don’t want to experience sexual frustration. You can’t have sex at work, so why tease yourself? I think sexual frustration is fantastic! Sex wouldn’t be fun if we got exactly what we wanted and when we wanted it. Longing and anticipation are great ways to keep your sex drive active.

If you’re in a relationship, you can build anticipation for each other by sending naughty emails (to your cell phone or personal email address!) Or text messages. Tell your partner what you would like to do with him or her when you get home. By the time you get there, you’ll be ripping off each other’s clothes.

Lift your mood with music

Use well-insulated headphones to play your favorite sexy songs at work. Some of your favorite sexual memories may have to do with the soundtrack that was being played at the moment, or you may have certain genres or songs that never stop turning you on.

Create a ritual

It is difficult to turn off your mind after a busy day at work, so you may find it helpful to come up with a “coming home” ritual to help you leave work at work and be present in your personal life.

When you get home, give yourself some personal time to unwind . Then try spending at least 10 minutes on things that affect your sexuality. Move your body, exercise computer muscles, fantasize, take a bath or masturbate.

The bottom line is this: if you want to have sex drive, you need to put in a little time and energy to take care of it. Fortunately, there are many fun ways to do this!
