Reduce Warehouse Club Impulse Purchases by Choosing Smart Loop

When you step into a well-stocked warehouse club, it’s easy to start getting all the sweet food deals you can find. You can reduce those impulsive bulk purchases by going around the store and satisfying your hunger with delicious free samples.

Warehouse clubs can get quite expensive, but you need to be sure that what you collect is the food you actually eat. If you buy food in bulk, it can be easy to spend. To avoid this problem, Trent Hamm of The Simple Dollar suggests using a smart loop:

We will go there to shop during peak sample collection periods, but before we buy, we will walk around the store trying different samples without putting anything in our carts … it fills us up a bit so we don’t make impulsive food purchases. If you buy food when you’re hungry, you’re much more likely to buy something impulsive that you wouldn’t otherwise be shoving into the basket.

You may not even be interested in buying what you try, but the point is to curb hunger. Hunger makes us do stupid things, so grab the free food and shop smart.
