Premium Economy Seats Worth Paying for on International Flights

Moving from a tourist bus to a premium economy bus isn’t always worth the cost, as we’ve seen with domestic airlines . But what if you are traveling long distances, crossing country borders? The Points Guy presents some of the best premium economy deals for international flights.

Disclaimer: YMMV, because not all premium economy deals will be available on every route or every aircraft, so this is just an estimate comparing the cost and performance of these enhanced seats with the offers for domestic use.

Air France appears to be the top choice for premium economy seats (pictured above), with a premium of just 30% for an improved seat (more spacious, with reading light and full-size power outlet in the trunk) that comes with priority check-in. and 2 free pieces of luggage, plus complimentary noise canceling headphones, a toilet set, an entertainment screen and an enhanced food and beverage service.

However, other international airlines charge nearly double the price for their premium seats. They can be worth it if you need more space or plan to get some sleep on the trip, but as with any travel decision, you will have to weigh the costs against the benefits. Fortunately, the Points Guy summarizes at least a few suggestions from international airlines to help you make that decision.
