Celebrate the End of 2020 With These Virtual New Years Events
Pandemic or not, people have mixed feelings about celebrating the New Year. It’s one of those nights where there is so much pressure to have fun, do something memorable and set the tone for the rest of the year (whatever that means), but sometimes – like now – a certain year comes to an end. reason enough to celebrate. Of course, all our troubles will remain there after the strike of midnight on December 31st and there will be no picnic in 2021, but as humans we get some kind of satisfaction marking the passage of time.
It goes without saying here that we are not going to attend the big New Year’s gathering outside the home. And no, a “quiet night” with a few close friends you trust (and who are not part of your family) is also not the best option. Fortunately, we have many other ways to celebrate the New Year that allow us to (virtually) celebrate with other people, but without the crowds, hassle, and strategic use of public toilets.
