PSA: Remember You Can Sell Broken Gadgets on EBay

It’s a sad day when the beloved technology finally got bitten by the dust. But don’t throw it in the trash! Remember, you can sell broken appliances on eBay and get some money back in your pocket.

Some of you already know this, but for everyone else, I think it deserves a reminder: even if you think that something is completely useless, there is a chance that someone out there will pay for it (if you are honest about his condition .). Maybe they can fix it, maybe they can save a few details, or maybe they just want to turn it into a weird piece of art. When something breaks, your first stop should be to check past eBay auctions for “as is” and “non-working” items (to see if similar items have been sold before).

Last year, I sold a broken speaker set for $ 30, a dead graphics card for $ 50, and a broken first generation iPad that went out of style for $ 60. These numbers may not be all that great compared to the item’s original cost ($ 150, $ 300, and $ 700, respectively), but it’s money in your pocket and it could subsidize the upgrade you’ve been waiting for.

Just remember, report the condition of the product honestly, provide good photos, and your buyer will most likely be very satisfied.
