Format Your Resume for a Mobile Screen

It might not surprise you that many recruiters look at resumes on their phones. This is a problem for you if your resume is formatted more for print than screen.

Executive Resume Writer Donna Swee offers Do’s and Don’ts to make your resume look good on a tiny phone. Her helpful advice includes:

  1. Aim for two- or three-line blocks of text. Never cross more than four.
  2. Use six spacing points (Format / Paragraph / Line spacing / Exact / 6 points) between bullet points and full space between resume sections and assignments.
  3. Avoid tiny fonts. It is impossible to read on the phone. Choose Calibri with at least 11 pips.

Get inspired by a flat web page design and preview your resume on your phone before submitting it.
