Format Your Resume for a Mobile Screen
It might not surprise you that many recruiters look at resumes on their phones. This is a problem for you if your resume is formatted more for print than screen.
Executive Resume Writer Donna Swee offers Do’s and Don’ts to make your resume look good on a tiny phone. Her helpful advice includes:
- Aim for two- or three-line blocks of text. Never cross more than four.
- Use six spacing points (Format / Paragraph / Line spacing / Exact / 6 points) between bullet points and full space between resume sections and assignments.
- Avoid tiny fonts. It is impossible to read on the phone. Choose Calibri with at least 11 pips.
Get inspired by a flat web page design and preview your resume on your phone before submitting it.
