Rest of the Day: Android App Giphy Can Now Share GIFs Anywhere
You know I love my GIFs. Emoji cannot convey the longing of an unemployed Don Draper who eats crackers alone and watches TV . Just like me! And now the Android app Giphy does it all!
- Image finder app Giphy is now available on Android . (Although it was previously available in a limited version that could only be published on Facebook Messenger.) It can now share GIFs anywhere, making it easy to send them in emails, text messages, or any other messaging platform kids used these days. [Engadget]
- You can now play podcasts directly from search results in the Google app on Android . Nice convenience if you remember the name of the show and don’t know where to find it. [Google]
- The Google family has also updated Sheets for Android . Now you can insert and edit charts in the mobile app for those of you charting on the go. I myself schedule guys who are always on the go. [Google]
- Viber now has end-to-end encryption for calls and messages . (Viber is a WhatsApp-like messaging app with over 700 million users.) Another stepping stone in the privacy trend, despite the intent of some legislators . [TechCrunch]
- If you have an Amazon Echo and a baby, you can save 20 percent on diapers by purchasing them through Alexa . I suppose it would be possible to buy diapers without a baby. [Amazon]
