This week in music: BTS and Måneskin
The two videos exploded this week are on opposite sides of a youth culture paradigm, embodying pop’s endless push between the transgressive and the down-to-earth. The video on Måneskin “I want to be your slave ” is controversial. This unconditional glorification of sex, perversion, gender nonconformity and dirty rock and / or roll is the latest in a long line of “shock” hits dating back at least to Cab Calloway’s 1932 “Reefer Man” edition.
On the other end of the spectrum, the clean-cut, non-threatening K-Pop boys from BTS showed off the video for their number one hit “Butter ” on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show this week, and the sleek, perfectly written pop song was shocking. nobody, even if there is a rap break in it. Netflix continues its attempts to capture everything by entering the video game space. Netflix plans to offer video games on its streaming service within the next year, according to Bloomberg . The games will appear alongside movies and original Netflix content in a separate section at no additional cost.
What kind of Vija games Netflix is planning remains to be seen, but judging by their original content, I would invest my money in interactive special appearances featuring only funny comedians and amateur niche games that all suck … except for the one you really are. really like.
