Winnie Helps Parents Find Places and Activities That Are Child-Friendly
iOS: When you’re a parent, finding a good place to hang out with your kids isn’t as easy as googling your local restaurants. Having babies in tow complicates things. How suitable is this place for children? What’s with the toilet? Is there a wheelchair access? Vinnie is trying to answer your parenting questions.
An obvious analogy is to say that Winnie is like Yelp to parents. This is essentially true, but Vinnie is more than just restaurants and cafes. The app is like a social network where parents can share their findings, recommendations and stories about specific places and activities. This includes playgrounds, museums, parks and more, depending on what you do while exploring the city with your family.
The majority of users are now in San Francisco after a test launch earlier this year, so there may be little parenting feedback in your hometown so far. However, the app offers information on over 100,000 locations across the country, and the more people use it, the more information will be displayed on the map.
