This Online Course Will Teach You How to Survive on Mars
If you’ve watched The Martian and wondered if you could have the nerve and know-how to do it on Mars too, here’s the great news: you can now sign up for a real online course that teaches you the basics of survival if you someday find yourself on the red planet. Best of all, the course is free .
The course, offered by FutureLearn and created by Monash University , is a 4-week program that explains the key scientific principles of producing your own water, oxygen, food and energy on Mars, where, if you remember, none of these were. naturally exist. Anyone can enroll in the course, even if you have no experience in biomedical sciences. What matters is that you are willing to learn and then help the rest of us survive when we ever get to Mars.
