Torn Upcycle Tights in Decorative Tassels
It is always a disappointment to snag pantyhose on and ruin them, but you don’t have to throw those pantyhose in the trash. Instead, turn them into decorative tassels to decorate your home. Here’s how.
You will need several pairs to make a whole garland, or replace them with other similar materials such as thin cotton shirts. In addition to tights, use a yarn needle and yarn or thread to attach the finished tassels to. Cut the pantyhose nine inches by scraping the fabric off your feet and thighs. For smaller brushes, make the sections shorter. Cut each tube of fabric and stack the two pieces on top of each other. Tie a knot at one end, then cut the strips starting at the bottom and cutting towards the knot. Repeat until all brushes are complete. Tie them together using a yarn needle and yarn. You can give your brushes a different design or color using fabric paint.
