This Miso-Lemon Dressing Will Also Make a Great Sauce or Marinade.
I love a good salad dressing. I also love to dip well and love a good marinade. Fate decreed that the Munchies have a recipe for an easy-to-make elixir that works great with all three.
Versatile and delicious, Portland’s Ox dressing is not only good for all savory dishes – meat, vegetables, chips, etc. – it requires very few ingredients, most of which are staple foods. To make it you will need:
- 5 tablespoons white miso
- 1/4 cup lemon juice and half the zest
- 1/2 small garlic clove, minced
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- 3/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Combine the first three ingredients, then whisk the last two. Cover, refrigerate, and cover all foods. (I would start by marinating chicken breasts, but I bet that would be great on a burger or with fried carrots.)
