Day 1: a Beginner’s Guide to the HIIT Class
HIIT – or high-intensity interval training for the uninitiated – is one of the trendiest exercise programs right now, but getting started as a beginner can be daunting to say the least. (High-intensity training can be effective, but not always affordable.)
As part of our ongoing Day 1 series, demystifying the process of quickly starting a new hobby or activity, we asked Coach Holly Reilinger for tips on getting closer to your very first HIIT session, including what to wear (hint: not sneakers!) alert the teacher that you are a beginner and, most importantly, remind the teacher that “no one is looking at you.”
