Here’s Where You Can Return Your Sneakers, Even If You’ve Already Run in Them.
There are many reasons to buy shoes from your local running store rather than online or a big store, including the more knowledgeable staff and the fact that you support your local running community. But another important point is that many will make a profit even after you have run in your place.
If you don’t have a local store with this policy, it’s good to know that some big brands and online retailers also take back slightly worn shoes. Don’t be discouraged by this policy. The whole idea is that you can trust your body to tell you if the shoes are working, rather than stressing in the store (or at home as you unboxing) about whether you think these shoes will work for you.
Nike will allow you to return your shoes, even if they were wearing, within 60 days of purchase :

Brooks will accept returns within 90 days , yes, even if you’ve already run in shoes:
Brooks offers the Run Happy Promise, a promise that you will love your gear and if you don’t, we will pick it up within 90 days of purchase. Run in it, sweat, inside, outside, in the rain – if it doesn’t work as it should, send it back.
Unworn items can be returned within one year from the date of purchase.
Fleet Feet, a running chain that also has an online store, has a 60-day return policy that does not require shoes to be new:

If brands or stores are not listed here, you can still get them back, but the runners experience seems to be mixed. For example, Adidas’ return policy does not specifically say that you can return shoes after running in them, but at least one Redditor says that Adidas support told them that it would be okay to return the shoes they ran in. … (Note that rules are subject to change and that they often differ from country to country.) If you bought a shoe, ran in it and were unhappy, ask.
