This Netgear Wi-Fi 7 Mesh System Is Currently $100 Off.
Amazon has reduced the price of the Netgear Orbi 770 Series Wi-Fi 7 Mesh two-pack from $549.99 to $449.99, saving $100 on a bundle that includes a router and satellite node, with a combined coverage area of up to 5,500 square feet. If you don’t need such extensive coverage,Amazon’s early Black Friday sale also offers smaller configurations, including a single satellite node , at a discount . They’re now priced at $239.99 instead of $349.99 and provide coverage of up to 2,750 square feet.
The system uses tri-band Wi-Fi 7 technology to distribute your connection across three bands, delivering combined speeds of up to 11,000 Mbps. It also supports wider 320 MHz channels, though you’ll need compatible Wi-Fi 7 devices to take advantage of the faster speeds. If you prefer a wired connection for devices that require a more stable connection, the main router has three 2.5 Gbps LAN ports and one 2.5 Gbps WAN port, while the satellite offers two 2.5 Gbps LAN ports. This gives you plenty of room to connect a gaming console, desktop PC, or smart TV, and you can also use a wired connection if you have Ethernet cable in your home.
Once all devices are connected, setup and day-to-day management can be accomplished through the Netgear Orbi app, while the web-based control panel offers additional options (for those seeking greater control over their network), including VPN access and port forwarding, according to a PCMag review . There’s no USB connectivity or 10GbE support, and some of the more advanced security and parental control features require a separate subscription after a free 30-day trial. For example, Smart Parental Controls costs $7.99 per month or $69.99 per year.
