The New Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ Is Now on Sale for $200 Off, and Comes With a $200 Gift Card.
The new Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ with 512GB of storage is now on sale on Amazon for $1,399.99, down from $1,599.99, according to price-tracking sites . It also includes a $200 Amazon gift card until October 21st, as well as 90 free days of Amazon Music. CNET calls it a significant improvement over the Tab S10+ , with a thinner case from 5.6mm to 5.3mm and a weight of 553 grams, while maintaining IP68 dust and water resistance for up to 30 minutes at a depth of one meter. Furthermore, the reduced bezels allowed for a slightly larger 12.6-inch screen (up from 12.4 inches).
The screen is a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1600 nits—you’re unlikely to reach this level in everyday use, but it’s one of the brightest panels you’ll find on an Android tablet, making it well-suited for watching movies, reading, or working with multiple apps simultaneously. At its core is an upgraded MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, offering enough performance for demanding games and multitasking, especially if you plan to use Samsung DeX, which gives the tablet a more desktop-like interface.
However, to fully utilize DeX’s capabilities, you typically need to add a keyboard, and Samsung’s options significantly increase the overall price, from the $199 Book Cover Keyboard Slim to the $299 Pro Keyboard with a built-in touchpad. The S Pen, on the other hand, is included, so you can take handwritten notes, sketch, or mark up PDFs, and Galaxy AI’s Note Assist feature can then organize and summarize those notes.
In addition to performance enhancements, Samsung has upgraded the quad-speaker system, adding quad-spatial sound for a more immersive listening experience, while the 13-megapixel rear camera and 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle front camera allow for document scanning and video calls. And with seven generations of OS updates and seven years of security updates, the S12+ should remain supported for years to come.
